Pet of the Week: Simba

Simba is a young, domestic, long hair cat that was born on June 27, 2016 and came to Secondhand Hounds as an owner surrender. He is very photogenic and likes to pose for pictures when he can. Simba loves to follow around his foster family and demand their attention but is not very fond of being held. He has a lower energy level and prefers to chill out but when he does play he can get mouthy, which is an issue his foster family is working on with him.

Other cats, dogs, and people are not an issue to Simba and he has a friendly reaction to new people. In a future home he would do his best with other cats and older children. A family with young children is not recommended for Simba since he does have any boundaries, like not wanting to be held. He is already litter box trained and is ready to to be adopted into a loving family that can give him attention while respecting his limits.

The adoption fee for Simba is set at $200 and an adoption application can be found at the bottom of his page. Simba can be found on the Secondhand Hounds website under the adopt tab in cats available for adoption. In accordance to Secondhand Hounds policy Simba is not declawed nor should he be after his adoption. To read more about why this policy exists there are links explaining why cats should not be declawed on the bottom of each cat adoption page.
