“The Greatest Showman”: One of the best, 5 out of 5.

Last month, myself and a couple of friends went to go see “The Greatest Showman” at the Shakopee movie theater on a fine Saturday night. I didn’t know much about it other than it was a musical and Zac Efron was in it. I left a changed woman. It was by far one of the best movies I have ever seen and I would give it a rating of 5 stars.

Not only was the acting and plot amazing, the soundtrack was exceptional. I still listen to it and everyone I have talked to said they love it. The plot was original and creative. Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. Barnum gets outcasts ranging from a woman with a beard to one of the tallest men, to perform in his shows. The movie has so many inspiration themes; to not be afraid to be who you are, that people who are different are extraordinary, and love, happiness, and family is so much more important than money.

One of my favorite songs from the movie is “This Is Me” It was so powerful and gave me chills. The acting was phenomenal and Zac Efron was sure a looker. The Greatest Showman is great for any age and will leave you feeling changed. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a good time.
