Jessie Diggins: The Face of Minnesota in the Olympics!

Jessie Diggins is a 26-year-old from Afton, Minnesota.  She is on the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team.  Diggins went to Stillwater High School, and grew up skiing in the Midwest.  Jessie is the best female cross-country skier in U.S. history!  Everyone knows Jessie as a ball of energy with killer dance moves. She has won many world cup races, and hopes to be the first American woman to win a medal at the Olympics in all of U.S. history.  So far in the Pyeongchang Olympic Games, she has placed 5th in the 15k skiathlon (best any U.S. woman has ever placed in the Olympics), and 6th in the classic sprints.  For those of you who don’t know much about cross-country skiing, there are two techniques, skate and classic.  Diggins is stronger at the skate technique than classic, so the 6th place finish for her was super exciting!  In the summer she trains in Stratton, VT.  In the winter she is traveling the world, racing in the World Cup Circuit.  Whenever Jessie comes home, she makes sure to ski with the locals and does her best to give back to the community.  Make sure to watch her and the entire U.S. team in their upcoming races in Pyeongchang and cheer extra loud for our fellow Minnesotan!
